REVISED Beef Cattle Improvement Scheme

Suckler cow owners can apply to the Vaughan Trust for financial assistance to purchase a top 25% performance recorded beef bull. The value of this award is 50% of the purchase price, up to a maximum award of £500. A maximum of 25 bulls will be funded in each financial year.

To qualify the Vaughan Trust does not specify breed of bull however the bull must be in the top 25% of the breed through performance weight recording. It is advisable to check with the local CAFRE Beef and Sheep Advisers that the bull is eligible before purchasing.
